The thru-axle reduces the center axle diameter from Ø 12 mm to Ø 10 mm at the outside left & right (item no. 40098). This bolt thru-axle with nut, makes it possible to use a 135/12 mm hub in every standard MTB with classic dropouts!
Optional available is as well a 12 mm reduced to 10mm quick realeas version (see item no. 40097), who have same function but with quick release (weight: 85 g).
